Chapter 12 includes root words, prefixes, and suffixes.
You will know that the word part is a prefix because it has a dash after it where it would attach to the beginning of a word or root (example: anti-).
Similarly, you will know that the word part is a suffix because the dash at the beginning of it indicates where it would attach to the end of a root or a word (example: -less).
In this word list, you will know that the vocabulary word is a root word because it will not have a dash at the beginning or end of it. These root words do not stand alone as a word; they are only a word part.
