A root words quiz was given on the first day of school and is repeated every 15 school days. Students are given a list of all the root words they will learn throughout the school year and are to write the meanings for any roots they remember or predict. Below are the average scores to date for all class periods put together:
August 22: average 1.4 root words correctly defined
September 13: average 3.67 root words correctly defined
October 3: average 5.12 root words correctly defined
October 26: average 10.04 root words correctly defined
